Common Questions
How do I create a chore list? Open the app, enter your name, and tap “Create a new list”. Give your list a name and you’re ready to go.
How do I invite someone to my list? Tap the invite icon on your list, and a 24-hour invite code will be generated. Share this code with the person you want to invite. They can enter it in the app to join your list.
Do I need an internet connection? You can create and manage tasks offline. An internet connection is only needed for generating invite codes, joining lists, and syncing across devices.
Can I use DoMates on multiple devices? Your chore lists sync automatically across devices when connected to the internet.
How do recurring tasks work? When creating or editing a chore, you can set it to repeat daily, weekly, monthly, or on custom days of the week.
How do notifications work? DoMates sends reminders before a task is due, at the due time, and if a task becomes overdue. Notifications respect silent hours (midnight to 8 AM). You can deny notification permission without affecting core functionality.
