DoMates (“we”, “our”, “the app”) is a shared chore management application. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.

Information You Provide
- Display name — The name you enter when setting up the app. This is stored locally on your device and shared with members of your chore lists for identification purposes.
- Chore list data — Task names, due dates, completion status, and recurring schedules that you create within the app.
Information We Do Not Collect
- We do not require account registration, email addresses, passwords, or any personal credentials.
- We do not collect location data, contacts, photos, or browsing history.
- We do not sell or share any personal data with third parties beyond what is described below.
Data Storage
DoMates uses a local-first architecture. All your data is stored on your device. Data is synchronized with our servers only when you share a list with others, and only for the purpose of enabling multi-device sync between list members.
Our servers store only temporary synchronization snapshots. No long-term user profiles or accounts are maintained server-side.
Third-Party Services
Google AdMob
The app displays banner advertisements through Google AdMob. Google may collect and use data for personalized advertising as described in Google’s Privacy Policy.

Notifications
The app may request permission to send local notifications for chore reminders. These notifications are generated entirely on your device and do not involve any server communication.
Children’s Privacy
DoMates does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app does not require any personal information to function.
